J.P. “Pete” Cline is a seasoned trial attorney whose corporate law experience has given him substantial insight into banking law and corporate transactions.
Pete. Cline graduated magna cum laude from Eastern Kentucky University and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kentucky in 1974. He is admitted to practice in all Kentucky state courts, the Sixth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Georgia and the Eastern District of Tennessee.
Pete Cline is a member of the Bell County Bar Association, where he served as secretary / treasurer from 1976-1979; the Kentucky Bar Association; and the Kentucky Academy of Trial Lawyers.
He has been a director at First State Financial since 1988. Prior to private practice he was counsel to Harbert Corporation Coal Operations for eight years.
